Plot

Tomo Aizawa and Junichirou "Jun" Kubota are the tightest bros you'd ever see. They roughhouse and spar, but through thick and thin, they've got each other's back. Yet, there's just one small problem: Tomo is in love with Jun!

Since she was young, tomboyish Tomo has been just another one of the guys; due to his extreme muscle-brained nature, Jun doesn't notice any of her advances—not even when she explicitly confesses. To add insult to injury, for the longest time, he didn't even realize that she was a girl.

Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! follows the comedic hijinks of Tomo and her friends as she tries to catch Jun's eye and escape the infamous brozone.

Review

So cute so far! Really enjoying the dynamic between the main leads

I was really in need of a cute fluffy series as I have been preoccupied watching shounen or darker themed shows recently and this was perfect! Tomo is your typical clueless heroine who has a big crush on her equally air-headed best friend and the show just follows her shenanigans on how she tries to win his heart. While typically I don’t love when the FL is the one pining, it was quite endearing and fun in this anime! The ML also has a crush on her but is pretty dense and doesn’t realise it until much later on, however his actions show otherwise beforehand! The side characters are also fun to watch, especially Gundou and Carol. They’re so different from each other, Gundou is a bit more of a broody and cunning but loving best friend whereas Carol is all rainbows and sunshine! The dynamic is so fun to watch.
